National Overture of Arts and Education

IES Group was invited to participate with the Institute for Education and the Arts in a National Overture of Arts and Education. The Overture of Arts and Education is a federally funded program in the State of New Mexico to integrate the Arts into K-12 education, using art across the curriculum. IES Group continues to work with several arts and cultural groups to meet the goals of integrating Arts and Culture into education.

The Institute for Education and the Arts was established in 2002 to promote the use of the creative arts to help teach core academic subjects at the K-12 levels. Based in Washington, DC, the Institute is the education program of the National Music Center and Museum Foundation, a private non-profit organization operating in association with the Smithsonian Institution and the Library of Congress.
